My name is Hilary, and I’m a part-time potter working out of my teensy and lovely home studio. I fell in love with ceramics in 2017 while doing intro classes at the Davis Art Center and UC Davis Craft Center. Ceramics is my escape from very busy and stressful day job- I love how it requires so much precision and concentration with zero pressure in terms of outcomes :)

I work mostly on a pottery wheel, making functional and decorative pieces in high fire stoneware. I fire in an electric kiln and have started the long journey of learning how to make my own glazes. I love the texture of unglazed clay, and gravitate towards clean lines and a modern aesthetic.

In 2022 I began a new journey of candle making, which has tested my patience time and time again, but is also the source of great joy.
